Community Garden

Our volunteer-run garden provides fresh produce for families in need in our area.  100% of our harvest is given to the local food pantry.  Volunteers are invited to help with all stages during our growing season.

IMPACT Weekend

In the Fall and Spring, we take a weekend to make an impact in our local area through a wide variety of service projects.

 International Mission Team

We partner with Tesoros de Dios (“God’s Treasures”), a Christian physical therapy center for children who come from low-income families in Managua, Nicaragua.  Our team assists with therapy, encourages the parents, helps with various work projects, and helps to support the staff during our week in the country.

Disaster Relief

Our teams are sent out to aid in the recovery efforts from natural disasters.  Each team spends time working with families to restore their home, community, and dignity.

  • Is there an age or skill requirement for serving?

All ages are welcomed to join our teams!  For anyone 16 and under, we ask that a parent join in the serving experience.  Trips are custom tailored to each individual team member.  As long as there is a willingness to learn and a desire to serve God, there are no skill requirements for any of our teams.

  • What is the cost of joining a team?

Several of our serving experiences have no cost involved.  For those that do, the price varies by trip.  Fundraising and scholarship opportunities are available.  If God is calling you to go, we don’t want the financial obligation to stop you.

  • How do I become involved in Outreach at Community UM Church?

We strive to offer a wide variety of outreach opportunities throughout the year.  An invitation to join one of our teams is always extended to everyone!  The bulletin on Sundays is the best way to find up-to-date information about specific teams as well as an opportunity to sign-up for a trip.
