Ministries & Programs

         

Children -  Footprints - A workshop rotation model, is an intentional approach to teaching the same biblical truths in creatively different ways.  The ministry is centered in a variety of learning centers called workshops.   Each workshop is designed for a specific type of leaning - art, science, performing arts, music, audio-visual and games.  Children rotate each week to a different learning center.   This ministry takes place each Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour (9:20 am) for children age 3 - Grade 5.

 

Youth -      Pathways is an active, contemporary approach to Sunday School meeting at 9:20 am.   Class are available for Middle School youth and High School youth. Our Youth Fellowship Program is being re-organized.   Activities are being planned for the spring and summer months.

 

Adults - Numerous opportunities exist for adults including Adult Sunday School at 9:20 am, Weekday Bible Studies, United Methodist Women, United Methodist Men, Quilters, and Mature Adults.

 

Mature (Senior) Adults - Monthly events are held including special program, luncheons and day trips.

 

Health Ministries - Programs provide a holistic approach to health (mind, body, soul) with programs to keep the congregation healthy.   These include blood pressure screenings, yoga classes, healthy life style information, special workshops and classes.  Community Cares operates under this umbrella and includes a visitation ministry to our home bound members, assistance during illness or bereavements, prayer chain, transportation, and home maintenance needs. 

 

Worship - Currently three services are offered each Sunday.   A variety of music from traditional to contemporary is included in our services with opportunities for vocalists and instrumentalists.    Sundays @ Six is the Filling Station's contemporary band leading music at the Filling Station

 

Outreach - Outreach ministries include food pantry and clothing center assistance, Souper Bowl of Caring,   Missions support, Angel Program for needy families at Christmas and other projects. 

 

One Community Ministries - This outreach program extends the work of the church into prison ministry in a variety of ways including visitation, card and gift ministry, family contacts and a transition ministry at One Community Ministry Center

 

Filling Station - A non traditional worship experience for all ages.   Music that will energize.  A message to connect your soul with God.  A free casual dinner.   Friendly fellowship.  Something that you have never experienced in a church before!  Sundays at six!
