Our church accepted a new vision in August of 2009 that is in keeping with our mission statement "Connect people with Christ, Equip them to be in ministry, and Send them out to serve others in Jesus' name." Three initiatives to fulfill the vision and mission were adopted:
- Connect - We are developing a new alternative worship service that will begin meeting in February 2010 at the Pickaway County Branch of the YMCA which is in Circleville.
- Equip - New programs in discipleship and leadership development are being finalized including small groups, alternative learning options, identifying natural interests, abilities and spiritual gifts, accountability emphasis, etc.
- Send - New efforts are being instituted in three ministry areas - national and global mission support, mission trips for all ages, and ministry programs in the local community.
All of these efforts will utilize our equipping philosophy of identifying, training and deploying servants (volunteers) in a variety of ministry opportunities.
