What We Believe

During the summer of 2003, the Long Range Planning Committee began a strategic planning process. As of fall 2003, the proposed Vision, Mission and Core Values of the church are as follows. Members are invited to consider these statements and take them to heart as the plans for our future evolve.

Mission:

We are a church that promotes friendship through Christ-centered values and ministries to make disciples for Jesus.

Community Church values:

·        Christ centered, scripture based worship and prayer

·        An inclusive, friendly community that welcomes all through a variety of Christian experiences

·        A church family that is caring, supportive and loving

·        Disciples in service to the community and the world

·        Developing personal spiritual growth

Vision: Community Church is Christ’s center of 'fire' for service and spiritual growth in Circleville.

Strategic Goals:

1.   Nurture Christ-centered, scripture-based opportunities for worship, prayer,

      and personal spiritual  growth

2.   Create a sense of family that is caring, loving, understanding and supportive

3.   Promote a friendly, welcoming inclusive church

4.   Involve members to become disciples to serve our community and world

We do all of this to further His Kingdom.  Wouldn't it be wonderful to bring all those we love into His Kingdom knowing that...

In Christ, there are no goodbyes
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again

(words from "Homesick" by MercyMe)

It would be a mighty celebration indeed!  In Christ--Jean Ann Carlson
